The Deben Players believe that they can offer a positive experience for children and young people. It’s a society where new skills can be learned in a safe and positive environment and the society is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of its junior members.
The society believes it is important that members, their family and anyone associated with the Deben Players should always show respect and understand the safety and welfare of others. As a junior member of the Deben Players you are expected to abide by the following 10 points:
- Make the Deben Players a fun society for all
- Keep yourself and others safe
- Refrain from inappropriate behaviour
- Report any inappropriate behaviour you see or experience
- Be trustworthy, behave and listen to all instructions
- Respect officials and accept decisions
- Do not leave the hall/theatre during rehearsals or productions without parent/carer
- Wear suitable clothing as directed by the production team
- Ask for help if you are not sure of anything
- Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself
If at any time the above code is not followed, this will be addressed by the production team and if of a serious nature, may result in dismissal from the Deben Players without refund of any membership fees paid (parents will be informed at all stages)
