The Deben Players believes that they offer a positive experience for its entire membership. It’s a society where members can learn new skills and develop existing ones in a safe and positive environment. The society is committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members.

The society believes it is important that members, their family and anyone associated with the Deben Players should always show respect and understand the safety and welfare of others. As a member of the Deben Players, you are expected to abide by the following 10 points:

• Treat everyone with respect and dignity
• Complete the membership form online and pay membership fees promptly when due *
• Refrain from inappropriate behaviour
• Report any inappropriate behaviour you see or experience
• Support, encourage and believe in equality and do not discriminate
• Endeavour to arrive on time to rehearsals
• Inform the production team prior to rehearsals/production if you are going to leave early
• Respect the production team and accept decisions
• Show appreciation and support to the production team on the decisions made
• Wear suitable clothing as directed by the production team

If at any time the above code is not followed, this will be addressed by the production team and if of a serious nature, may result in your dismissal from the Deben Players without refund of any membership fees paid.
